The Climate of future requires adaptation

The Climate of future requires adaptation is a project that is working to help civil society, politicians and the general public to make reasonable decisions about how is the best way to adapt to climate change risks in the urban environment.
The project focuses on vulnerability assessment and adaptation measures development for Ukrainian cities.
Strengthening the manifestations of climate change and the analysis of their negative effects in cities indicate that climate change causes the emergence of specific threats to cities that are not characteristic for other types of human settlements. The main potential negative effects of climate change, which can manifest itself in the cities include: heat stress, flooding, reducing space and violation species composition of urban green areas, natural   meteorological phenomena, reduce and deterioration drinking water quality, increase in the number of infectious diseases and allergic manifestations, disruption of the functioning of the energy of the city.

The project aims is strengthening the capacity of civil society networks to engage effectively in policy dialogue with local authorities, EU institutions and international organizations in the field of climate change adaptation.

Strengthening Initiative on adaptation to climate change in the regions;

Filling gaps in the implementation of actions to adapt to climate change at national and regional levels;
